Kwara State is known as the state of Harmony.
Kwara ( Yoruba: Ìpínlẹ̀ Kwárà) is a state in Western Nigeria . Its capital is Ilorin .
The primary ethnic group of Kwara State is Yoruba, with significant Nupe ,
Bariba, and Fulani minorities.
The state has produced great numbers of people that have make a great huge impart in these country and outside it. Here are few among many;

IN MUSIC
1. Ayinla Kollington
General Ayinla Kollington is a musician from Ilota , a village on the outskirt of
Ilorin , Kwara State , Nigeria . He is also called Baba 'latika, Kebe-n-Kwara,Baba
alagbado. Between the mid-70s and late 80s,
Kollington ranked with Barrister as the leading star of Nigerian fuji music -
like apala and waka.

2. Bisade Ologunde ( lagbaja)
Lagbaja (born Bisade Ologunde in Lagos ) is a multi-award winning Nigerian
Afrobeat musician, singer and song-writer. He was born in 1960 in Lagos
state. He is a descent of Odogun’s Compound, Ijagbo Community in Oyun
Local Government Area of Kwara State. Bisade is a Baptist by birth. He
is also a Globacom ambassador.

3. Wasiu Alabi Pasuma
He was born on 27, November 1967 at Mushin in Lagos State but hails from
Kwara State, western Nigeria . Pasuma released his debut hip pop album
titled "My World". on 2 August 2015 which he feature hip hop star artist like
Olamide , Tiwa Savage , Oritsefemi, Patoranking and many more. He started his
music career in 1984 and his debut album titled "Recognition" was released
in 1993. He has collaborated with several other notably Nigerian recording
artists, such as Bola Abimbola and King Sunny Ade as well as having been
featured in several Nigerian films such as Iyanje and Alenibare.

4. Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye
Anthony Olanrewaju Awotoye , better known as Tony Tetuila , is an Afro hip
hop artist from Nigeria . His name, Olanrewaju, means " My wealth is the
future ". Formerly a member of The Remedies (along with Eedris
Abdulkareem and Eddy Montana ), he split with the group and has been
successful as a solo artist.
Tony Tetuila emerged in 2014 running as a politician for Kwara State’s House
of Assembly under the APC party.

5. Tunde Adebimpe
Babatunde Omoroga "Tunde" Adebimpe (born February 26, 1975) is an
American musician, actor, director, and visual artist best known as the lead
singer of the Brooklyn-based band TV on the Radio . His last name
"Adebimpe" means "the crown is complete" in Yoruba.

6. Adegbite Adeniran
Is a Nigeria musicial hail from kwara State. Is known as ADX ( stage name) by many. ADX and ICE-K real name
Tomomewo Olakunle sing together with their name known as Artquake.

7. Sheriff Ilori
Big Sheff, whose real names are Sheriff Ilori, is the son of two of Nigeria’s
music legends, ‘Queen Salawa Abeni’ and Sir Kollington Ayinla. The
talented rapper, who is currently signed on to Candiva Signature, has been
making waves. recently.
Often referred to as Nigeria Rick Ross by many because of their striking
resemblance he shares with the American rapper in all areas, Big Sheff
kicked off his music career around two years ago and already has a
number of singles on air including ‘Ema lo binu’ and ‘In a minute’…

1. Bishop David O. Oyedepo
David O. Oyedepo (born September 27, 1954) in Osogbo, Nigeria,
but is a native of Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. Is a Nigerian Christian author,
preacher, the founder and presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church World Wide,
also known as Winners' Chapel, and its affiliated international churches
known as Winners Chapel International, with headquarters in Ota, Ogun State ,
Nigeria. Oyedepo is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seat
church auditorium, reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world
by the Guinness Book of Records.
The Winners' Chapel network of churches is located in over 300 cities, in all
states of Nigeria, as well as, in several cities in 45 African nations, Dubai, the
United Kingdom and the United States. Oyedepo has been seen as one
of the pioneers of the Christian charismatic movement in Africa and has been
referred to as one of the most powerful preachers in Nigeria. He is the
Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University. He was named in
2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria.

2. Joseph Ayo Babalola
Joseph Ayo Babalola (25 April 1904 – 26 July 1959) was the founder of the
Christ Apostolic Church, popularly called Aladura in Nigeria . He was credited
with healing powers. Babalola was born of Yoruba parents at Odo-Owa, Kwara State , Nigeria.He was brought up as an Anglican . He was registered at an elementary school at Oto-Awori on Badagry Road, Lagos State , in 1914. He got to standard four, before he became a blacksmith's apprentice and he learned it for two years,
before he became a steamroller operator under the PWD (Public Works
Department), then under the control of Great Britain, learning to become a
steamroller driver. After 15 days of learning to drive the caterpillar, he was
able to drive it without any assistance. After nine months; he became a
master in his class. A steamroller was first given to him on 1 April 1928 to
work on the Osogbo – Ilesha road. On June 14, 1928 he was transferred to
Akure – Ilesha road. On 9 October 1928 at about 12 o'clock he was by his
steamroller by the river Ariran, it was here he heard a loud voice from above
like the roar of thunder which called his name thrice saying "Joseph! Joseph!!
Joseph!!! Leave this job you are doing; if not, this year you are going to be
cut off from the earth. Again On 11 October 1928, while trying to repair
his machine, he heard an audible voice from the Lord to abandon the job and
start preaching. That is how he received the call and he went into fasting and
prayer. Ayo Babalola was sent out of the Anglican Church of his village by his
Bishop because most members of the Church see visions; speak in tongues
and pray vigorously. Babalola was baptized in Lagos lagoon in December
1929.

3. Most Rev. Dr Prophet S. A. Abidoye
MOST Reverend Samuel Abidoye is the fifth spiritual father/chairman,
Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide with headquarters
in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
Born into a royal family over 80 years ago in Omu Aran, Kwara State, Eni
Owo, Baba Aladura who spent over years in London, had been a member
of the British Council of Churches since 1976 before he was invited home
for anointment as the spiritual father in 2006.

4. Rev George Adeboye
Rev.George Adegboye is the President and Founder of Rhema Chapel
International Churches with headquarters in Ilorin, Kwara State. He is an
Apostle of the New Testament, with a mission “Take the Word to the nations of
the World, emphasizing its integrity. He is the President of the Ever Increasing
Word Ministries, also known as Rhema Chapel International Churches, with
many branches worldwide. He is also the President of the Word of Victory
Bible Training Institute and the Young Ministers Teaching School , which are
the training arm of the ministry. He teaches the word extensively with a
simplistic practical prophetic insight.He is known for his prophetic and peculiar
anointing, especially at crusade grounds. He has a dynamic insight into the
Word of God. His ability to memorize and quote the Scriptures copiously has
endeared him to many Christians earning him the name “The Walking Bible”.
Humble and down-to-earth , he is also been referred as one of the Fathers of
Christianity as his ministry has produced a lot of the top pastors in the country
such as Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Pastor Samuel Olubiyo, Pastor Victor Adeyemi
and a host of others.

5. Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo
A prolific speaker, dexterous writer and a leading voice in Ministry and
Leadership circles, Biodun Fatoyinbo is the Senior Pastor of the 5,000 member
COZA Abuja. With Worship Centers in the cities of Ilorin and Lagos, COZA
spans about 9, 000 members and cuts across people of diverse backgrounds,
professions and nationalities. An average of 3, 000 viewers join the live stream
of the Abuja Services from all over the World.
Biodun Fatoyinbo is sought as a Conference speaker across the globe. His
ministry is in high demand by both denominational and non-denominational
