"I no wan talk too much but I gat to say something". Hello Everyone. Here is a piece of mine titled "I Still Never Forget". Enjoy.
Those days of tyre rolling, powered by our tiny legs.
Those days of ball over fence, and ball to the glass.
Those days of suwe-suwe game, with the tricks involved.
Those days of the energetic demonstrated energy.
Those days of being fearless in our lively ways.
Those days when laughter and smiles were glued to our faces.
Padi mi, I still never forget.

The landlord's wheelbarrow was our limosine,
Swapping positions, either driving or seating.
I remember the boundless joy she experienced, when you wheeled faster,
Begging you to stop, while I laughed from afar.
Chuckling together, to the humour of what happened.
Back then, it was me, you, her and him.
Padi mi, I still never forget.

The hide and seek games, the tree climbing, the wrestling,
All were done with so much happiness.
Do you still remember the swimming bathing in the rain,
Shouting and splashing water on each other.
Our parents saw it as rough plays, that shouldn't be played.
But to us, it had a value they couldn't see nor feel.
Padi mi, I still never forget.

She was the best in dancing, you were the best in football, he was good in whyning, but I sabi pass am small.
We were like a team, with our bond posing as a coach.
Every second had a defintion, every moment was priceless.
Children in other compound with so much passion, envied our unrivalled rhythm.
We had our language, only we were the translator.
We had a routine, that shaped daily plays.
Padi mi, I still never forget.

I saw it as a mere statement when the barber across the road,
Once said, twenty children cant play for twenty years.
I still can't believe our bond bowed to the patience of time.
What really happened, I don't know.
I just know, am here, you are there, she is somewhere, and he is not here.
The memories that lingers in my head, out numbers the drops in the ocean.
Padi mi, I still never forget.

When I saw her last year, my anxiety doubled but later crumbled.
In her classy classy forming, she struggled to flow with me.
We dey for the same department, but he dey always throway face.
He is a bigi boy now, owner of a four Wheel.
If you reading this, I hope you reply, even though you don't have my number.
I miss you guys, I wish you all the best.
Padi mi, I still never forget.
