For this 21st century person still dey enter bank dey look for withdrawal slip..which kind parole be that one..ive been banking with access,gtb nd fcmb nd first bank for over 6yrs..I can count the number of times I've entered their banking halls since I opened my account. accross the counter deposit or withdrawal can never take me to a bank.....all these banks have cardless nd card transaction..if u forget ur card at home sef....
u can initiate OTP nd make withdrawal on the atm without card....but una no go gree ...una go shaa wan see banker face..
.u con dey vex...why dem no go treat u like that when u sef dey do Wetin most banks dey try scrap....na pple like u dey make crowd full banking hall...una go come dey complain say bank tellers too slow.....abeg park well.....u better leave ur olden days banking style nd flow with modern day banking...withdrawal slip koor...tally number niiii...

Virtually all Bank officials in Nigeria are like that. I once had a such ugly experience with GTBank Agbara branch. I'd wanted to make withdrawal on my account when I was told that my BVN hasn't been updated which I quickly supplied them with the necessary info but to my greatest surprise, the information on my BVN doesn't tally with the ones on their database and findings revealed that the error was from them.

To cut it short, I became object of pity to Agbara branch- the customer service attendant - Ademola Ajiboye is a very rude and proud guy who will talk to me like say "shit dey my body". They even asked me to go to my branch for the rectification whereas it can be done from their branch. I wonder how they will expect me to go to Victoria Island simply because of date of birth which can be done in their branch plus the fact that the mistake was from them.

When I discovered that they have made up their mind to make life difficult for me, I proceeded to Lasu Branch where I met with another sadist - he will politely tell you not to expect your money anytime soon.

it took me a very long time before I could get the money our of the account. The most painful part of the story is that I needed the money to take care of a sick relative and all my plea to them was like someone rehearsing "2baba song dancing in d rain".


Which of the guys is Ademola, the fair one by the 3rd seat or the dark one by the first seat of the customer service section?

I had an experience with them too recently(though not too nasty) when I requested my ATM card pickup branch to be Agbara. Those people can test the patience of a saint.

Generally GTB is losing(or has lost) that excellent service they used to be known for (maybe except their gtconnect call centre).

The banking industry today is moving from counter services to alternative channels (ATMs, mobile apps, Internet banking, etc). This way, you can be served better.
Access bank is doing a good job in this thing.

My advise to you is to always carry your ATM card(s) in your wallet as a gentleman that you are. This is because you never can tell when you'll crave for cash. Whenever this happens, visit the nearest branch ATM gallery, withdraw your cash and zoom off. No time to waste, my brother.

My bad exprience with Access bank customer service yesterday. I took a night bus from lagos to abuja when I got a message that I should proceed to kaduna for one or two reason, I have family members living in kaduna but was not having much on me to buy some gift for my brothers and inlaw, so I decided to follow the bus I took from abuja to command junction, after then a keke to kachia Road.

I got to the bank trying to get a withdrawal slip, I could not find one and i approach a lady to ask "may I know where I can find the withdrawal slip" and she said to me don't u have an ATM. She just angrily directed me to another lady, and she too asked me rudely; where is your ATM. I said I was travelling and I ran out of cash and I am in need of money but she told me i can't withdraw with the slip and I should enroll for another ATM. I told her i can't and after that I requested for a transfer form then she directed me to another lady.

The lady @ the transfer deck asked me what kind of phone I am using to which i answered Nokia 206. After some minute of filling the form, I asked her the time I will receive a notification and she said she can't say but it has been done.

MY OBSERVATIONS And REASON FOR PORTING OUT
1. They all lacked politness and courtsey
2. They don't value their customer
3. Non challant attitude
4. Poor customer experience and engagement
5. They all don't care if u stay or leave
the workers only wants to tarnish d image of access bank. I often use access bank (egbeda) and i can tell u dey attends to customers in the most polite manners.

OP I understand your plight. It can be really annoying when you in a situation and get such terrible reception from bankers.

But its not only access bank. I have noticed with dismay most bank these days have unmotivated staffers. From their customer service personnel to tellers. It seems the they aren't paid well to make them happy. Also notice the customer service ladies look like secondary school leavers. Is it that they cant pay the really experienced ones?

The banking sector generally isn't what it used to be. A lot of bankers are leaving for other jobs and businesses.gone are the days where if you hear things like " e dey work for bank" you accord the person respect. Nowadays when you hear such you be like eyah".

Even their staff strength has been drastically reduced.

@poster thank you for banking with Access bank. Access bank has a very strong policy on customers satisfaction and an enjoyable service. Kindly forward your complaint to the customer service unit and it will be dealt with appropriately. Access bank has a zero tolerance to bad customers service as customers should be treated king all the time not minding any circumstances. Sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused

My bitter experience is with stanbic ibtc bank... I made transfer, my account is debited, the recipients are yet to be credited going one month now.

One of the recipient, an ailing person. The other, a refund of kind assistance. The bank keeps playing ball with me till date. No concrete response, no come back date, no date of reversal, no reply to my mails, all is a no no no.....

So sad, sibtc a bank I hailed with so much respect falling my hand.

Others take note of this bank before u fall victim. This is my 2nd experience. So sad

So many people out there looking for jobs.......one reason will get one sacked and another one will get someone employed. If he/she dose not appreciate what God as don for him/her over that job! Then another person should pls take over.

We African attach emotion over every thing.......u can't bring u family problem to the office and transfer aggression to a customer. Is not don! Why not get an atm card, E banking then you'll have no reason to go to the bank.
People like you try to look for reason to complain and show you know your 'right'.
Please use alternative channels and you'll have no reason to complain.

Making the person lose his/her job wouldn't make your own life better.

Dose that justify her action because the young man is not using all the crap alternative u talked about?
What happen to customer satisfaction? Will she die if she attended to the young man well and after that brings up all the alternative to make the young mans life better?
If u no what it takes to get a customer, then u will no what am talking about

I am very sure they will take this up on your behalf because the Access Bank i know do not joke with their customers. They provide good customer service experience. Send a mail and i am sure they will treat you better.

Access Bank workers lack good customer relations. Infact, they are not ready to work. Severally, I sent mails to complain, all I get as reply is " We are working to address the issues raised". After that nothing is done.
