Power Of The North by Nobody: 10:08am On May 28, 2016
# Reflection
The North withholds just tomatoes and rice and everybody is shouting, panicking and wailing...
Now imagine when the North decides to withold yam, carrot, beans, pepper, onions, cows etc...
Most people will begin to look malnourished when that time comes. Some sexy girls will start looking funny. Kwashiorkor tales will loom!
.
.
Calamity begins when one region begins to feel they are superior to the other in terms of resources.
We all need each other jare...

Amazing.
Have you noticed that even without 'northern' tomatoes everybody's still making tomato stews?
It's called paste- Local or imported is fine.
While withholding said tomatoes, I hope they have proper storage so their produce doesn't go rotten?
And would the plan include licking all their tomatoes? Or making concoction with their yams, carrots and onions?
Saudi's primary source of income is crude. Second is refined products. You think anyone can threaten them with 'tomatoes'?
The best they can hope for is to raise prices. At that point, they'll be SLAPPED- not paid- with petrodollars.
Mcheew.
Pedestrian thinking everywhere.

OP, the north did not withold tomatoes. They lost their tomatoes to viruses. If you care to go and ask farmers in Kastina, they are suffering big time and would prefer to sell tomatoes.

Can't you read? They did not withold the sale of tomatoes. The supply was reduced by virus outbreak. [/b]Most of the tomatoes around was imported from Cameroun. You think the farmers would not prefer to have tomatoes to sell? By the way, your initial point is moot. The north can not withold sales of food items because that's the only way families up there can get money. If they do that, poverty would eclipse them.

it's only hypocrites that would denie this fact..... North is the agricultural and food base of the nation.. now tomatoes basket cost more than barrel of crude oil.............. you can ask Biafra how North malnourished and starve them to death during civil war..... alhamdulillah, we North knws our power and we use it at our own will.

I heard on the radio yesterday that 75% of 'your' tomatoes goes to waste.
Instead of coming here to beat your chest while displaying an alarming level of ignorance, why not direct your efforts towards giving information to your people on how to preserve their goods, so that their hard work and sweat stop going to waste?
Sigh...

Meanwhile, I heard that this same disease occurred in gej's time, but was effectively curbed.
Is that true?!
If it is, has the minister of agric gone to his predecessor for tutorials?
