It is no longer news today that the trend has changed from consumers being loyal to a particular store or brand to switching brands, as a result of the improvement in marketing effort which resulted to a
near perfect competition, product and service similarities, improved quality, and price discounts. Businesses are today staggering, selling at a no profit, just to still be in business. Frustration has set in, causing some business owners various forms of health related problems. It is a great pleasure today to bring to you well researched and tested tips used my most successful companies like MTN, which placed them where they are today. Apply these tips in your business today and watch yourself and your business becomes a market leader.
(1). VALUE EXPLORATION. Business as you already know is a continuous concern, so to still retain your customers and maintain a clear lead in the market, you must explore value. Your customers or customers generally are looking for something that will better satisfy their needs. So you need to explore these avenues better than your competitors. The case of digital devices manufacturing company, Apple, is a good example here. Giving customers the real value for their money. Make it your business objective to give your customers the real value for their money and then watch your business climb to the top.
(2). VALUE CREATION. In creating value, you need to identify new customer benefits from customers view, utilizing core competencies from its business domain, and selecting and managing business partners, channels and channel members from its collaborative networks. You must understand what the customer thinks about, wants, does, and worries about and also observe whom the customers admire and interact with and who influences them. In doing these, you are creating a valuable need within the customer which he/she cannot resist. Banking on these will ensure you stay at the top.
(3). VALUE DELIVERY. Some businesses today phased out not because they were unable to explore and create value, NO, but because of their inability to DELIVER THE VALUE. Even the bible emphasized this when it says that of what used will a light be when it is kept under a cover. It is another way of telling you that for you to create and explore value without DELIVERING IT, you have only succeeded in marrying for yourself a beautiful barren woman. You must think of the best way to deliver these values to your customers for a repeat patronage. Make provision for after sales services, follow up calls, guarantee services, repairs, etc. these will go a long way in keeping you in the minds of your customers.
