Ramadan Day 1:lessons Of The Day by ybalogs(m): 6:29am On Jun 06, 2016 |
Ayahs of the day:
As for those who divide their religion into sects, you have
nothing to do with them; their business is up to God, who
will inform them of what they were doing. For whoever
brings about good, there is ten times its like; and whoever
brings about ill will not be repaid but by the same; and they
will not be wronged. [6: 159,160]
Hadith of the day:
All humans are sinners, and the best sinners are those who
repent much. [Tirmidhi]
Wise quote of the day:
This worldly life is a deceiving form of enjoyment if it
diverts the person from seeking the Hereafter. However, if
it calls a person to seeking Allah's pleasure and seeking
the Hereafter, then it is an excellent means. [Sa'eed ibn
Jubair radi Allah anhu]
Guidance of the day:
Upright reflection has numerous benefits and great
benefits. There are different kinds of reflection. The best
and most noble is to reflect on Divine acts and signs and
wonders of His making in earth and heavens. He who
reflects deeply in these gains an increase in his knowledge
of God, which is the greatest elixir.
Another kind of reflection is to reflect on the favors and
blessings that God bestows upon you, both religious and
worldly. Reflecting deeply on these leads to an increase in
one's love for God and induces one to thank Him.
Another kind of reflection is to reflect on the immensity of
God's rights upon you and your numerous short comings in
fulfilling His rights of Lordship. Reflecting deeply on these
leads to fear, awe, and shyness of God the exalted and
induces one to strive resolutely and in earnest to obey Him
and fulfill His rights. [ Counsels of Religion by Iman al-
Haddad]
Food for thought:
Life is a long lesson in humility. Life consists not in holding
good cards, but in playing those you hold well. Do not dwell
in the past, do not dream about the future, concentrate the
mind on the present moment. The great use of life is to
spend it for something that will out last it. |
