The United Arab Emirates is one of the biggest producers and exporters of crude oil and natural gas. Between the 18th and 20th century, the country was also commonly referred to as the “Pirate Coast”.

This is because there were raiders in the area and they used to harass the shipping industry. Located in the Middle East, the country borders the Persian Gulf and Qatar to the North as well as the Gulf of Oman and the Sultanate of Oman to the East.

Saudi Arabia is the neighbor to the United Arab Emirates to the West and South. Abu Dhabi is the country’s capital city.

Many foreigners who live in the United Arab Emirates reside in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. These are the biggest cities and commercial centers.

If you are looking forward to Travelling to the United Arab Emirates, here are the tips you need to grasp to help you plan properly for your journey.

1. Documents for Travelling to the United Arab Emirates: – If you plan to visit the UAE and you are a USA citizen having a valid US passport, then you do not need a travel visa.

However, your passport must not expire in less than six months and your stay in the UAE must not exceed one month. Any visa or entry stamp from any country qualifies you to enter the United Arab Emirates. All other nationalities must apply for a visa before Travelling to the United Arab Emirates.

2. Modes of Transport: – The United Arab Emirates has a very good road network for transportation. This is well developed, especially the Northern Coast. This is because many people live in the Nothern parts of the country. The main transport mode is the use of buses. There are also taxis which are managed by both the government and private agencies. Railway transport in the United Arab Emirates is very scarce. The same case applies to air transport, where we have only two airports, i.e. the Abu Dhabi and the Dubai.

3. Your Security and Safety in the UAE: – The United Arab Emirates is ranked fifth in the world in terms of security. The rate of crime in the UAE is very small and it rarely happens to the tourists. You can comfortably associate with people around since most workers are not locals.

Spoken Language: – The official language of the United Arab Emirates is Arabic. However, there are several other languages used in the country because of the different origins of people who live in the country. Most local people also learn English in school. This makes it the second widely used language.

5. The economy in the UAE: – After Saudi Arabia, the UAE is the second in the economy in the Entire Asia region. It is also among the top countries with stable economy worldwide. The economy stability of the UAE is mostly as a result of oil export, which accounts for 77% of the country’s budget.

6. Religion in the UAE: – The entire country Of the United Arab Emirates is mostly Islamic. There are only 9% Christians living in the country. The federal constitution of the UAE declares that Islam is the official religion.This means all the citizens of the UAE are considered Islam.

When Travelling to the United Arab Emirates, be aware that the law permits you to convert to Islam but it is illegal for any Islam to convert to any other religion.

7. Climate and Weather: – The UAE lies on the Northern desert belt. As such, the climatic conditions are generally hot. The weather is sultry during summer, where the days are very hot and temperatures go well beyond 40°C while the nights are around 30°C.

If you are traveling to the United Arab Emirates as a tourist, the best time to go is between November and March, when the temperatures are favorable. During this season, the minimum is 13°C and the maximum are 30.5°C.

From the information, you realize that if you plan on Travelling to the United Arab Emirates, then you are free to conduct business and interact with the people of the UAE but do not try to convert their religion from Islam.

However, if you are going to acquire citizenship, then you must be ready to become a Muslim. You can now make a sound judgment before traveling.
