Register for the Aso Villa Demo Day 2016 And Get A Chance To Pitch Your Startup or Idea Directly To President Buhari.
The Office of the Presidency of the Federal Government of Nigeria have set in motion a first of its kind initiative for entrepreneurs called the Aso Villa Demo Day. Aso Villa Demo Day (AVDD 2016) is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, job creation and economic growth through the use of new and emerging technologies. This event will celebrate some of the best Nigerians in technology, innovation and creativity and also feature inspiring talks from thought leaders and experts from different economic sectors in Nigeria.

Aso Villa Demo Day will see President Buhari hosting 50 of the brightest and most innovative startups in Nigeria in July. These “50 startups” will be selected from a list of 100 pre-selected startups who would be given the chance to pitch their ideas before a dedicated panel of Judges, Investors and Sponsors.

Eligibility

To qualify for this programme, applicants must;

Be Nigerian
Be between 18 – 40 years of age
Have a viable idea or startup
The Pitch event for the 100 pre-selected startups will take place on Thursday the 23rd of June 2016 at the Landmark Event Center in VI, Lagos. Meanwhile, The 50 lucky chosen startups will be unveiled by The President himself on Thursday the 28th of July 2016 at the State House Conference Center in Abuja.

Attendance and/or pitching at the event is FREE, however prospective applicants and/or attendees will have to register to get an invitation.

Please can you explain how one can register? I have been trying to register but there is no link to do so even on the website.

I don't understand how our government does things. No contact, no single phone number on the website. No direction on how to ger register and they siad you have to register and get invite before youy can come.
