When Are Going To Have A Christian Bank? by LegalIcon: 11:41am On Jun 15, 2016
WHEN ARE WE GOING TO HAVE CHRISTIAN BANK? So much needless noise have been generated by Christians about the Islamic Banking( Jaiz) They say this, they say that..well, my understanding of Jaiz Bank's operations is that it operates as a non-interest Banking. This is because Isalam frowns at any lending that involves interest! So, the bank is a non-interest banking institution, meaning that you can borrow money without having to pay interest when you're paying back. It is a way of lifting people, especially the Muslim Ummah out of poverty. This lending is so flexible and can be accessed by anybody, irrespective of your religion. Now to the fears being entertained by Christians, those fears include: 1- That muslims will Islamize Nigeria.2-That you cannot work there except you are forced to dress, pray or totally convert to Islam.3- That it will paralize the activities of the conventional commercial banks.4- That Nigerians will be forced to embrace Islamic Banking. 5That it will affect Nigeria's economy. Now let me take these points one after the other. On the issue that muslim will Islamize Nigeria, how is that possible? If Jaiz bank supports people by giving loans free of interest, how will it make Nigeria to turn to Islamic country? Will anyone expect someone in need of cash (no matter the amount) which he can get and pay back without having to 'pay through the nose' like the commercial banks ask their debtors to pay. Who doesn't want good thing, especially timely solutions? 2-How will anyone who intends to work in an Islamic institution expect that he will be allowed to dress like a "Pastor" to dress indecently like some Christians who have taken the Liberty in Christ for granted,do? How many Christian institutions e.g Universities or church businesses will employ a Muslim, not to talk of allowing such person to dress like an Uztaz or Sheik?. If you cannot wear their dresses or conform, please don't go there.3-Anything that will paralyze the activities of the conventional commercial banks should happen joor! You ask for loan, they give you with an interest of almost 28% of the facility and they subsequently deduct some hidden charges. Even Bankers who are sincere don't advise their friends to collect banks laons. Microfinance Banks seem to be fairer than th commercial banks. Some individuals also lend people money, but at a very 'killing' rate while some money lenders through' African Science( juju)' ensure that you don't pay on time. 4- That Nigerians will be forced to embrace Islamic Banking. Tell me, does any dangerously hungry man reject or hesitate to eat any food that comes his way? Its not about Islamic banking, but about free-interest banking. In this period of Econonic Tsunami, job losses, rising umemployments and alarming growth in entrepreneurship, you expect anyone that sees a good succour or solution not to jump at it? 5- That it will affect Nigerian Economy, yes, it will. In this period of harship, an institution is coming out to offer reliefs and you expect people not to "look at its side" haba! No! Now to the Christians, why is it difficult for us to help eachother? Why are we so selfish and self centred? Why are we so divided along denominational lines? When will rich christians also establish ' Christian Bank' that will give people interest-free laons? When will christians in authority keep saying( Koseese( it is impossible)when fellow christians go to them for assistance? When will christian leaders be united and stop seeing other denominations as non-christians so that we can also carry out our own economic policies that God has already given us through the Holyspirit? When are we going to start ensuring that a member of the household of believer joins us ( by every good and decent means) in our places of work? When are we going to be ready to empower our Youths like our Muslim friends do? When will christians start spending for church growth( An average muslim builds Mosque in his house so that people can come and talk to God through him) when will christians too be happy to spend on new converts and monitor their growth? when will christians begin to support their leaders and not castigate them at every slightest opportunity( Do you ever see muslims castigating even the Boko haram people openly and sincerely?) When will christians do being cowards who don't want to loose their lives, priviledges and positions just for Jesus? When will christians start dressing with fear that the Holyspirit and not even the christian leaders, will rebuke you instantly when you dress indecently. Do you see any average muslim girl wearing clothes that show her boobs or wear bum shorst/ tantops, leggins publicly?.when are we going to have our own 'Christian Law' that will be enshrined in the constitution like the Shariah Law? When are we going to have Christian Courts? When will christians become easily identified when you see them, without them introducing themselves? Let's go back to the bible. A Christian Bank is a reality..Come Lord Jesus! Written by JKA.08056114653.
