June 19, 2016: Her Majesty, Queen Wuraola-Zynab Ogunwusi gave a powerful speech to the Emerging Women’s Forum on June 16, 2016 where she spoke about strength of women and what Gender equality means to her.
“I am not a huge fan of Gender equality. We can’t be equal, We cant be men. We have our roles to play here, a very pivotal one.” Her Majesty went on to speak about the powerful roles women play and how women should tap into their powers by exploring themselves in order to reach extraordinary heights, as opposed to fighting for power with their male counterparts.

The Royal Dynasty of Ile Ife, one of Africa’s most ancient dynasties, is over eight centuries old. Today, this dynasty is ruled by King Adeyeye Ogunwusi. who was crowned in December 2015. The history of this prestigious and sacred grounds of Ile Ife dates back thousands of years. The Yoruba’s are the largest ethnic group in Africa and consists of over 200 million people around the world. The Kingdom of Ile-Ife is known for its distinct art. According to historians, Ife artists, ahead of their time, were creating unique bronze, stone, and terracotta sculptures by the turn of the 12th Century. Many of those rare pieces can be found today in museums in South America, Europe, and Nigeria.
