Mamelodi Sundowns trio Khama Billiat, Keagan Dolly and Wayne Arendse are fired up for Wednesday's CAF Champions League clash with Nigeria's Enyimba at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sundowns are looking for their first points in Group B after their 2-0 win at ES Setif was chalked off following the Algerian club's disqualification for crowd trouble.

"We are well motivated, and we are all buzzing with confidence ahead of our encounter with Enyimba," PSL Footballer of the Season Billiat is quoted as saying by Downs.

"I'm looking forward to showcasing to Africa and the world that we are a world-class team," added fellow midfielder Dolly.

"We are expecting a physical game and we are up for the challenge come Wednesday," said defender Arendse.

Well! Afink the peoples' elephant would wana go all-offensive against d South African side that av shown more quality in the defence and Attack. However, following Es Setif dismissal which leaves them with no points and goals, It would only take a more tactical and well-compact Paul Aigbogun's side 2 secure a win or draw in that encounter..I wish them d very best but afink they shud more clinical wif their chances

He he enyimba can only beat us in Nigeria with their grassy not maintained pitch . I Dont know why caf is allowing such mockery to African football.

we will give u the best pitch even if u r playing in the township but we get unmaintained pitches and expect us to do well .

enyimba can get a draw because the pitch allows free flow .

good luck to the two teams but Enyimba won't win against a tactical pitso mosimane.

Enyimba can ill-afford a slip-up against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday as they chase a spot in the Caf Champions League semi-final.

The Nigerians began their group stage campaign on a losing note following a 1-0 defeat to Zamalek in Port Harcourt. While the setback is far from ruinous, they face a tough task at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium against a Sundowns side who are in fine form.

However, the hosts will be keen to make an impression after finding themselves in the unfamiliar position with their win against ES Setif counting for nothing following Caf’s decision to sack the Algerian team from the championship.

Wednesday's meeting is the first-ever between the two sides, though Enyimba have faced South African opposition on four occasions in the past – winning once, losing once and drawing the rest.

And midfielder Bartholomew Ibengbu insists his team is fully focused on the task at hand as they look to boost their chances of a semi-final ticket.

“The game against Mamelodi Sundowns is not all about physical preparation but our state of mind,” Ibenegbu told Goal.

“We have to believe that we can get the result in South Africa and then go all out to get a win to boost our chances of qualifying for the next round of the competition.”

Though, coach Pitso Mosimane is watchful about the Peoples Elephants threat, he is upbeat about his side chances of achieving the desire result.

“We have learnt that in the Champions League, you must never concede at home, especially in knockout stages. That’s the lesson we learnt rather than complaining that we lost three points,” Mosimane told media.

“They [Enyimba] have got good attack. You know Nigerians, they are gladiators.

“They have a very aggressive mentality. We know what tackles we are going to get. We should also know that on set-pieces, they are strong.

The hosts will be without former captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele who joined rivals Kaizer Chief, but would be banking on Tiyani Mabunda and Khama Billiat to get the needed result.

Mamelodi Sundowns will welcome back Anthony Laffor when they take on Enyimba in the CAF Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Brazilians face the Nigerian giants at Lucas Moripe Stadium, and they will welcome back the Liberian forward after he missed the win against ES Setif earlier this month.

Laffor was left out the travelling squad for the 2-0 win because of disciplinary issues, but Sundowns spokesman Thulani Thuswa says the 31-year-old is back in the mix after appearing before a DC.

“It was an issue between an organisation and an employee,” Thuswa tells KickOff.com. “Everything has been sorted and Laffor is back with the team.”

raises his flag to say it's a goal. 2-1 to Sundowns.

76'

BILLIAT FIRES FROM DISTANCE!!! The Zimbabwean combines brilliantly with Dolly and Malajila outside the box, before firing at goal, only for attempted shot to miss the target.

75'

WAYNE ARENDSE HEADS WIDE!!! The Sundowns defender connects with a cross inside the opposition box, but he heads the ball wide.

73'

Just over 15 minutes to go, and Sundowns are making their first change, introducing a midfielder for a natural striker. I think they know that they have to win here tonight to make things easier for themselves going into the return leg in Nigeria in August.

71'

NZUBE STRIKES!!! The Enyimba forward tries his luck again from distance, but Sandilands stands tall and make another fine save.

70'

PYAGBARA WITH A CHANCE!!! The attacker is released on the far side and he does well to control the ball before firing at Sandilands, who makes a fantastic stop. Enyimba looking very dangerous at the moment.

68'

Billiat does well to win a corner and they play it short before finding Nthethe on the box, but the Sundowns captain fires into the side netting. Goal-kick to Ocheje.

66'

CASTRO!!! The Colombian forward connects with Mbekile's cross inside the Enyimba box, but goalkeeper Ocheje does well to tip the ball over the bar.

64'

Peter Onyekachi is played through on the left, but Mbekile does well to tackle the forward for Sundowns to regroup.

62'

Etor's corner finds a teammate inside the box, but the attempted header goes wide. Enyimba are on a mission here.

61'

Nzube beats the offside the trap but he cannot beat Sandilands, who comes off his line to concede a corner.

60'

That stunner came from Dare Ojo, way outside the box after Sandilands had punched the ball away from danger from a corner kick.

GOOOOOAAAALL!!!! Enyimba make it 1-1 with a beatiful goal from distance. Oh what a goal!

57'

Enyimba make their second change, but could this upset their momentum? Only time will tell.

There have been four minutes added at the end of 90. Can Enyimba come back or will it be Sundowns who walk away with all the points?

88'

Kester goes down and he will receive medical attention. Pitso Mosimane uses this short break to talk to his players. The one thing he could be preaching to his players is 'concentration'.

86'

Billiat tries to find Castro inside the box with a cheeky chip, but the Colombian can't connect. Ocheje to restart.

84'

Sundowns fans are in jubilant mood out in the stands, and they have every reason to be as their team is leading here with less than 10 minutes to go.

Billiat dribbles past two defenders, into the Enyimba box and pulls the trigger but Ocheje goes down to his right to make a comfortable save.

80'

That was Arendse's second goal of the competition. The replay shows that the ball had already crossed the line when Ocheje made the save. So it stands, and the assistant referee was spot on.
