At exactly 11:30pm on Tuesday June 28, 2016, DJ Obi completed 6 full days on his quest to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Club Deejaying.

Timed by TAG Heuer, the Lagos based DJ already had 144 hours under his belt - 56 hours short of the current record and 96 hours short of the 10-day goal Obi had set for himself.

DJ Obi has been receiving daily medical checks, massages, doses of vitamins not to mention moral support in form of love and prayers from friends, fans, and well-wishers.

Over the last 24 hours before day 6 came to a close, DJ Spinall, Timaya, Toke Makinwa, DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Sose, Lynxxx and Praiz and many others visited DJ Obi at the Sao Café, where he’s been playing.

Shaydee, Niniola, and Sammie were also at the club to show support as the DJ continued on his quest to set a Guinness World Record.

“I never thought people will come out to support like this. The outpouring of notes, prayers and well wishes are well appreciated,” Obi told a blog writer.
