Timothy Addigi Terfa design and build a tractor which he described as a as a 100% Nigerian. He even gave a name to his invention — Ijodo — meaning labour in the Tiv language. If he can manufacture these tractor en masse and for less cost, it can be a real helper in Nigeria, where the majority of agriculture-related jobs are done manually because of costly farm machinery. Mr Terfa wants to inspire his compatriots: “My greatest desire is that someone out there will be encouraged and motivated to do something with the ideas they have to make Nigeria better.” He is an engineer by profession and he was trained abroad.
