I'm on the verge of buying a Nigeria used Toyota Camry 2008 model.. I want to know all what I need to do from changing of ownership to registration ( i don't know if I have to register the car on my name )

Usually, when u buy a registered vehicle, u r required to do a change of ownership/reregistration to get ur own plate n also ur name n details on d documents!

ensure d seller gives u all d required documents to get ur documents.

documents required includes: allocation of plate no, proof of ownership, up to date vehicle license, purchase receipt n transfer of ownership letter. the ownership letter must be written on a letter headed paper if u bought from a company.

the plate will also be returned if d vehicle is still carrying d old plate number.

Please, after purchasing a nigerian used vehicle say in lagos, can i travel to Abuja with the current papers without FRSC and Police troubles on the road. Then i could do the change of ownership later.
