unscrew and try to boot without the HDD,you description is not very detailed but I think the password is attached to the HDD,so if you have a spare and it happens that its just the HDD ,you can substitute.

The password is on the BIOS and not on the HDD. The laptop came without a HDD, so the current drive on it was taken from my HP envy. The HDD on it now is not booting to desktop, because the OS was not loaded on the Dell PC. Hence this thread.

Good day fellow nairalanders, pls I bought a dell e6510 from eBay.

The BIOS is locked with administrative password. Right now I cannot change the boot options, as it already set to HDD.

I need anybody with same type of laptop, for me to use it to format and load OS.
