So you don't know that there was hardly any book written by Ibos on Ibo history before the 1950s?....Books on Igbo history are scanty in comparison to those on the history of the other major tribes...You can hardly see a book written by a renowned scholar about the history of Onitsha or Ngwaland...Compare that to the North or the SW...Every village in the SW has a documented history which veracity is correct to about 200 years ago...I don't need to talk about books like the 'Kano Chronicles' which documented the history of some Northern towns and cities....Igbo history is mostly written by modern day Igbo scholars and those in the diaspora and their books are expensive and scarce..

I am looking to stock up my library. As a scientist, I have lots of books in my area of specialisation however I am really interested and fascinated by Igbo culture.
Searching through the amazon US and UK websites, there are plenty of books on Igbo issues, but the problem is they are very expensive.
Nairalanders, how do you buy your books for cheap.
the authors don't really want you to learn anything. Only interested in money

You used the word fallacy which meant l was lying when in reality these are names l come across almost on a daily basis. It is like Egerton University, a University here in Kenya whose Chairman of Council is Dr. Raerdon Olubayo and he is 100% Kenya of the Luhya tribe....No bad blood.

I don't concur with that statement sir...

It's basically "different strokes for different folks"[/quote

Whether you concur or not does not change the fact

Igbo books are expensive and scarce as its not easy to compile facts about the origin, culture, and spread of the Igbo people. Even there is dearth of materials from slaves, traders and missionaries on the Igbo race.

Fallacy.... Not a lie but an assumption from a little sample taken. It might not be enough to generalise.... When you hear fallacy, please don't assume you are being called a liar.... It's just a brain cracking stuff
