Recently, there's this trend I have been seeing frequently both on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram..and major social networks/ online news portals . A new game called "Pokémon Go" ..few minutes back I saw a news about the game on CNN TV station... I got interested to know what it's all about, decided to check it out on Google play ▶ store... I got a feedback that its not allowed in my location... Has anyone somehow downloaded and played the game? , or knows more about it?.. And why is it popular to the extent of trusted news portals like BBC and CNN, CCTV, Fox news are talking about it??..

I haven't been able to download it I guess it's because our GPS and map issues in Naija.
I can't wait to have it on my device. Feeling nostalgic about Pokemon way back to when it was on game boy

@Op, this answers your question to why the game is on everyone's lips and the media. The Pokemon brand has been a part of most people's formative years.

Not a problem for me. I have a US play store acct.

I installed and already uninstalled the stupid game. First it requires access to ur location so ur gps has to be on.

Second u actually need to move in real life to catch Pokemon,as in u can't sit down and play the game. U have to walk round ur house, ur street and sometimes even travel just to catch Pokémons. It also works while u are driving or when someone is driving u. I interesting but who get that kind time to dey move from one place to the other because I want to play game.

Use a US VPN app to open a Google acct, then use it to sigj into play store. Or if u already have a non US Google acct, then clear ur play store cache, then fire up a good vpn app e.g snap vpn. (most of the free ones don't work, but u can keep trying different free vpn apps, set ur location to USA ). Open play store and it should take u to US play store.
