Granite vs Gravel | Sand vs Stone Dust

Is it better to use granite and stone dust? I've looked through the forum and couldn't find a difinitive answer.

It depend on so mny factors.
1) Money
2) Availability
3) Cost cutting

There are some states in Nigeria that stone dust is readily available,much more than sharp sand. In lagos for example,sharp sand is almost everywhere,in this situation stone dust doesn't come to the mind but in a situation whereby you want to use it for interlock you can look at stone dust(sharp sand can do this also).
In state like nassarawa/abuja their hollow block is mainly from stone dust and they have to sieve the sand to get a better sharp sand.
You can use both or either of the two.
Granite is almost everywhere now so I'll advice you stick with that,just make sure the required size is supplied.
