I was shocked this morning when I saw on AIT that Team Nigeria (Nigeria's delegation to this year's Rio Olympics), is requesting for 2 billion Naira from President Buhari. The disheartening news about this team is that it targets just 5 medals at the event. Fellow Nairalanders, let's debate this issue, is the N2 Billion Naira worth giving to a team that targets just 5 medals at the Olympics?

Well, I am not really against team Nigeria going to the Olympics, but the amount requested is too much at this time because we have more important things in need of finances, just as you said.

They should give them the money joor, perhaps they should also go and enjoy themselves, with the looted money recovered, what have they use the money for?
