Hmm, my dear people of Nigeria, things are happening in our country. This morning I came across a JAMB candidate who scored just 186 and was shortlisted to be admitted to OAU even though we are all aware that OAU doesn't accept any score less than 200. Upon further investigation, I realized that the candidate is from the northern part of Nigeria, Kaduna to be precise. This is happening even when many students who score 200 plus from the southern part of the country have not been shortlisted. The big questions are: is this why the minister of education, Adamu Bello insists on the scraping of post jamb? what are the implications of this anomaly? There other questions I will post but let's start from here.

This has been the main reason for change of policies in almost all sectors of the country, to see if the north can catch up with the rest of the country, thereby slowing down the progress and development of this country. For how long would some northerners drag us back

Why do you have to call people pathetic? Why should Jamb send candidates with score less than 200 and categorize others with more than 200 as ineligible? There's definitely more than meet the eye.

Let him come from Daura, he can't gain admission to OAU, UI, UNILAG or UNN with that score. He need not waste his time and resources travelling down to Ife. Bayero University Kano (BUK) or Kaduna state university is what's obtainable for his like.

also ..in one of the statements dibu made...he said he's sure schools like the ife...ui and unilag won't admit less than 200

i have been shouting about this....this policy is made to favour the North...Am being Pragmatic and not Tribalistic.....Even the ELDs(Educationally less developed states) has a quota of 20% in each department and in each state of the Federation.......this is not FAIRNESS......How can you keep forcing someone who isn't interested in Schooling?.....This policy is bound to disfavour the SOUTH.......FAVOURITISM has taken over our Educational sector....in my opinion,let ELDs be scrapped and Admission be based on merit.....Besides,ELDs was not introduced to last forever.........The fogs in our EYES has cleared......#NOMOREELDs

Then the folks at JAMB are not serious. It is to prevent things like these that the post-UME was implemented in the first place. Now JAMB has taken the country back to square one.

186 is above jamb cut off oga. OAU can decide to reject the person because it's below their cut off. Jamb won't join issues with OAU because they know this could happen.

Are they trying to say Kaduna is among the ELDS? Shouldn't be o, cos kaduna have like five(5) tertiary institutions (abu zaria, Kasu,FCE zaria, NDA, Nuhu bamalli poly)

some people don't have the right subject combination also and they've given them admission consideration, they are among those they might likely screen out ... they may screen him out since they accept 200 and above though...my opinion

Jamb is starting from 180 to give admission there is probability that those who score 290,240,264 etc might have cheated in their examination.
