BVN - Bank verification number A unique ID number issued to every Bank customer at enrollment and linked to every account that the customer has in ALL Nigerian Banks.

QUICK FACT
- Please messages like the one you saw in the picture above is not true and can never be true, CBN or any other Bank will never send you such irritating and ridiculous text expecting you to call them.

Here are 5 smart ways to know and expose BVN Scammers

They will never know the Bank which you operate and even if you ask them they can never find out, So its best not to engage into any conversation with them, either by calling the number they want you to call or the one they use in sending you a text.
Guard your very vital information like your account details and the pin number to your account very well, unsuspecting victims have lost very large sum of money.

Never reveal any information about your BVN to any body over the phone- please go to the bank to make all your findings, if you are too busy go online.

CBN or your Bank will not reset or request your BVN overnight Why? because it has already been programmed for you and all personal details about you has been keyed into the data base which takes time and cost money.

Lastly play your part in helping other innocent Nigerians who may not be as enlightened as you are, REPORT any suspicious numbers its free to call any customer care hot line or use social media to expose them, you cant be too busy, because their next victim may just be a loved one a friend, your landlord or ...... the list goes on.
