Facebook has lately positioned its messaging platform Messenger as business tool and this has allowed for more users to remain and stay engaged on the platform. Now the Facebook Messenger has hit another milestone as Facebook has announced that the messaging now records a billion active users every month. Awesome!

Facebook Messenger has enjoyed plenty of updates lately which includes the encrypted messaging like they have on their sister platform WhatsApp, the ability to allow SMS and Facebook messages at the same time and with over 11,000 bots and more Messenger looks to be the next force in messaging.

The announcement was made by Facebook’s VP of Messaging products, David Marcus, stating “Humbled to serve over a billion people every month on Messenger” with an adorable photo of the Messenger team.
