He added that there “is need for total change in the system. We need to overhaul the education system. Unless we overhaul our systems, we will continue to have problem. The sector is just one subset of the system. Once we overhaul our entire system, every other system will fall in place.”Nigerian education problem started long before now, before 1999. Mr Obasanjo, you had the opportunity to overhaul and rectify it then, establishing the foundation and legacy which successive governments can build on. When you were in power, were you able to achieve this or you just woke up to realize there is a need for the overhaul. |

Here is the same man from Owu who advocated the electoral campaign of the APC by publicly displaying an 'intellect' of shredding his membership card, clamouring for a better change. The educational sector has always be fine and stout. Imagine our Oyo State Governor, who had the luxury of time and opportunity to attend a govt. established nursery/primary and even secondary institution, now demands that that same institution supplicate itself before him in order to pay teachers the uncompromising work of 7months. The same goes for tertiary institutions. Vying for post of VC has turned to a political electioneering, worsened to an extent that such institution is closed down. We need to flush away the poo in our loo to have a fresher look. God Bless Nigeria |

Abeg Baba I take God beg you just shut up, You ruled this country for 8yrs, with the resources that was at your disposal, You could have changed things if you wanted to, Like a typical Nigerian politician, you didn't care, Cos, your kids and even your grandkids aren't going to attend any of our local Universities anytime soon. |

Obasanjo that out of a country of 200m people is talking reform, ruled nigeria 2x,such that whatever mistake he made the 1st time he would've been able to rectify it the 2nd time. Now this same man who ruled for over a decade, the longest by any nigerian is talking reforms. As if the problems weren't there while he was in power |
