I'm planning to buy an OTG cable and a game pad for my phone this week!

I want to know if the normal computer USB game pad works on Android phones or is there any special pad meant for android phone?

I use my ps4 pad with my Xperia z2. Used it without otg cable. Heard ps3 pad is compatible with so many phones.

I paired it with Bluetooth. Though, I have a PSN account. So I can play the games on my console from my fone. Though I bought d Otg cable too, but later found out I don't need it.
