The reigning Miss Planet Nigeria Queen Gloria kelechi Nwadike took another admirable step to empower her community with the influence of her office as she believes charity begins at home. The soft spoken beauty queen who hails from Ihembosi town in Ekwusigo local government Anambra state carried out her pet project‎ at a Community secondary school in thesame Ihembosi in ekwusigo local government area recently.

It was a two weeks training programme that was captioned EMPOWER THE GIRL CHILD on skill acquisition such as catering, beadmaking, soapmaking and makeover. The aim of these training programme was to propagate the values of skills acquisition in the lives of the girl child,to unveil the special skills they have and also develop these skills and use them to earn a living. 

According to the graduate of sociology and anthropology, Nnamdi Azikiwe univ‎ersity, these programme would also enable them become self employed in the future, help reduce negative vices like low self esteem, prostitution, lack of purpose in life and also reduce the rate of unemployment in our society.  The training programme came to an end with 25 girls from 5 of the fields empowered and some given scholarship with additional fashion designing training with Fashion home.
