The funeral Mass for the late former coach ‎of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, has started at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Airport road in Benin, Edo State.

Keshi died on June 8‎ in Benin at the age of 54, months after the end of his four-year spell as coach of the Super Eagles.

The final burial rites for late Super Eagles Captain and Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, will start in Benin City, Edo State tomorrow morning without the involvement of the Federal Government which is staying out after citing lack of funds. Late Keshi Late Keshi The Federal Government has now said it will play its own part for the late soccer icon after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games because of a combination of factors. “We don’t want a haphazard burial for such a great patriot, that is why the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, has said the FG will play its own part after the Olympics”, declared a top source. “We will unveil details after the Games”, the source added.
