Samsung is gradually introducing its Tizen OS to the world which may see the company drop Android OS on its devices. This comes after the Samsung Z2 which will be powered by the Tizen OS is said to be on production in India as Samsung has imported components to its Noida assembly plant that will help fast track the production of the Z2 smartphone.

Samsung Z2 Tizen-powered smartphone is expected to launch by October and will be introduced to some African countries which includes Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya by the end of the year. South Africa will be the first on the African continent to welcome the Samsung Z2 by October before it spreads down to Nigeria and Kenya later in the year.

When introduced, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya will join nations like India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal where Tizen platform have been introduced for over a year and have enjoyed massive success and the choice is these three African nations is due to the presence of 4G LTE network and a very huge competitive mobile market.

The Samsung Z2 is expected to be Samsung's first Tizen powered phone with 4G LTE technology and it will feature 1GB of RAM and a 4-inch AMOLED display as well as the S Bike Mode. A major highlight of the Z2 device is that it may come with Remote Assistance which enables users to call for help from call centres.
