Jobs without salaries I guess Mtcheeeeeew!!!

Whether u shout or not, it will create jobs. Like other private universities are creating. It has come to stay and will bring more education to Bayelsa state and investment.

This is a good initiative but the name is a concern now.
"UNIVERSITY OF AFRICA"?
You think that A.U will not kick against that name?
If anything must answer uni.of.Africa, it must be build and certified by African Union.

The end result is aimed at enriching the man running to NUC to get approval and not for the overall interest of Bayelsans. This was the wrong time to pursue this self-centred project owing to the fact that our younger ones are all at home for months, teachers were not even going to schools to teach before finally closing down for holidays.

Another thing is that, you are shutting down an institution low income earners can easily afford to send their children to for flimsy execuses of government not been able to run the institution and you expect these same low income earners who are not paid for 6months to train their children in an institution that charges N450,000, or N500,000 as the case maybe

I attended the Niger Delta University shut down now from 2004-2008 and only paid N10,000 as specified school fees without dues as then student of the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Management Sciences.

Our younger ones are suffering as a result of these poor governance from our leaders, people who are supposed to do their clearance s for NYSC are affected and don't even know their fates. Are you expecting them to enroll in the new proposed University of Africa so they can meet up NYSC deadline

Let's reason please!!!

The proposed University of Africa would perhaps be situated in Governor Dickson's town. Useless governors bringing down institutions to raise another. Will he be there forever? Another Governor will close down this one too.

It is a state owned university proposed by Government of Bayelsa State. It is a good idea but coming at a wrong time when the first state-owned Niger Delta University has been shutdown for more than four(4) months due to lack of funds to run the university as claimed by state government.

You can propose a new state-owned university when the existing one is totally out of use. Wrong initiative by the Bayelsa State at this time.

in ondo town, ondo state government can create st joseph university. you can see, it is as big as unilag. use as conventional university.

it has

a stadium,
a civil center.
5 tennis court,
2 basketball court
51 class room block.
recreation center
food canteen
80 resident

all ondo state need to do, to create university Ondo..

since ondo state may not want to pay for 2 university in one city. the medical school can belong to adeyemi ondo.
while ondo state use its university licence for this place.

it is bigger.
all the properties are own by ondo state. and you can see, it is as big as unilag.

Bayelsans and their craze for superlative names! They will soon establish two (2) others to be named "University of Billionaires" and "University of The Moon"! Their best is however yet to come until they are able to have "Ogogoro University of The South-South"

NUC please do not deny them accreditation when they come calling for approval!

With all the oil money available, black man is very wicked. If countries in Europe have half of what we have here they will make their side paradise. It's just a pity the state love producing failures as leaders. Imagine someone like Sylvia hoping to be the next governor, one who is only after his pocket and plan to lord over everyone in that state and yet people will still campaign for him. They should enjoy until they vote people who have the interest of the masses at heart
