“Yemi Alade has come to be a household name in the Nigerian music scene and Africa at large. Mama Africa(The Diary of an African Woman) has a few moments where she hits the high notes and makes you want to curl up and listen. But the record is largely safe with a few of the songs having somewhat similar sounding beats. It’s a danceable record from start to finish, though. Something that can last the entire production time of The Beat FM’s Mid-day Oasis show. If Yemi Alade’s intention is to push this record to the ends of the African continent, it will definitely work.”
