Chelsea are interested in PSV defender Santiago Arias as a feasible substitute for the Baba Rahman who appears to be on his way to Schalke 04.

The 24-year old Colombian can play on either side of the defence and was watched by Chelsea scouts last week according to the Daily Mail.

Chelseafocus thinks that with Baba on his way to Germany, Chelsea can be left with just four defenders after Kurt Zouma’s long run injury and Branislav Ivanovic additionally affected by a dislocated shoulder. Youngster Ola Aina has performed all pre-season so far enjoying in each left-back and right-back positions.
