JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee technical operations and create relevant policy
• Have the business knowledge necessary to align technology-related
decisions with the organization's goals.
• Oversee all engineering, architecture, and security of TCP/IP network
and servers
• Focus on enhancing national network of the company, including but not limited internet content, quality of service, internet applications, scaling, and network technologies, with expertise in network security.
• Identify opportunities and risks for the business.
• Manage research and development (R&).
• Monitor technology and social trends that could impact the company.
• Participate in management decisions about corporate governance.
• Communicate the company's technology strategy to partners, management, investors and employees.
• Maintain current information about technology standards and compliance regulations.
• And other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by the MD.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of B.Sc. or B.Tech in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Science
2. Minimum of CCNP, [CCIE will be an added advantage]
3. Minimum Itilv3 Foundation (Itilv3 Intermediate will be an added advantage]
4. Project Management certification would be an added advantage.
5. Not less than 8 years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer in an ISP Company
6. Ability to configure Cisco Devices [Switches/Routers], Mikrotik Routers etc.
7. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Power point etc.
8. Have an understanding of Firewalls – concepts and configuration
9. Be able to coordinate, motivate and supervise team members
10. Be able to multi-task multiple projects and ensure delivery as scheduled.
11. Be calm headed and able to work with little or no supervision
12. Have a very good understanding of VSAT technology, installation, management and troubleshooting
