If you are to choose between the gionee marathon m5 mini or the infinix note2 x600 based on the processors, which will you choose and why will you choose it?

note 2 is superior with octacore processor, m5 mini has quad core.

I read somewhere that most apps don't require more than 2-3 cores. How true, pls?

yeah, the more the processor core the better the processing ability. are u sure u will not use an app that will require more than 3 cores for better processing? that same app that will be OK with 3 core will lunch and process faster where the processor is more than 3 core.
m5 mini does not have 4G, and the OS is not upgradable to marshmallow(am not sure it is). note 2 comes with 4G LTE, and its OS can be upgraded to marshmallow.
note 2 has 13mp back camera, while m5 mini has 8mp. but m5 mini has better selfie camera(5mp) than note 2(2mp).
av been using note 2 for over 6months now, and am not thinking of changing it anytime soon.

of course the rear camera has flash, bright flash indeed. I bought mine N39,500, the 2G RAM. should be around N44,000 now, think.
