Apala music exponent, Alhaji Akeem Ayinla Omowura, is dead.

Akeem, the eldest son of the late Apala music maestro, Alhaji Ayinla Omowura, died early Monday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, and was buried in the evening according to Muslim rites.

A family source revealed that Akeem Omowura, who was in his 60s, died after complaining of severe headache.

Omo Egunmagaji as fondly called by Apala music fans, was well respected in Abeokuta township as some of his father’s fans still patronised him.

He was a socialite and always seen at the Itoko area of the town, the ancestral home of his late father.

Rest in peace, Akeem Omowura.
