If your thermostat is bad, and you can't find a replacement for it, remove it. If its bad but you can get it replaced, replace it.

if the thermostat is the culprit, then you should change it otherwise don't remove it

A thermostat that's stuck close is best replaced, but if a suitable replacement can't be found, its better to run with out thermostat than have a close thermostat damage your engine thru over heating

same thing I said that if the thermostat is faulty it should be changed but if it's not faulty he shouldn't remove it.

Thermostats fail easily, expecially if you drive interstate regularly, best choice is to remove if u go long distances that can heat up ur engine to normal running temperature as fast as possible, but if you do the stop and start, please don't

You are killing that engine slowly.

If thermostat is faulty, replace it. Don't run your engine without a thermostat. There's a reason oyibo man put it there.

Naija mechanics are always quick to blame thermostats for every overheating issue. Removing a thermostat is not really the best way out if the thermostat itself is not faulty but you may also need to look thoroughly into other issues that may be underlying such as: radiator fan speed, radiator condition, water pump, cylinder head gasket condition, coolant leaks and condition of coolant hoses.

BTW, what make and model is your car?

Why quote me on this issue?
OP did not bring his car to me.

I still maintain my stand on the issue of thermostat. If thermostat is stuck closed, it can lead to overheating, the best way to go about this is replace the thermostat with a good working piece, however, if one isn't able to get it around, he can run without thermostat while searching for ways to import it.

NB: before I delve into issue of thermostat replacement I must have ran a battery of test on the vehicle cooling system, and bled the system to eliminate air to eliminate other factors.
