How To Format Memory Card With Diskpart

If you have a corrupted memory card that windows keeps saying ” Windows cant complete format”, here is an alternative way to format it. Just do the following steps:-
¤ Insert the corrupted memory card into aCard Reader, and then connect the card reader to the computer.
¤ OpenRunon your computer
Note: To open RUN click on the “start” icon and enter then type in RUN or hold the Windows key + Letter R on you keyboard
¤ After opening RUN type in“cmd”in the
provided text box.
Note: Type in the Commands without the quotation marks ( ” ” )
¤ After that, type in
“Diskpart”.
¤ Type in“list disk”.
Note: Every Drives, Removable Disk will be Listed; To Recognize your own memory card if it a 2GB Memory Card, you will see numbrings like this 2,682, the first digit will be what to determine, for a 4GB 4,682.
¤ Type in “Select Disk 1”.
Note: If your memory card is assigned no 1, then you type “select disk 1 but if it is no 2 you type select disk 2.
¤ Type in “clean”.
¤ Type in “Create Partition Primary”.
¤ Type in “Active”.
¤ Type in “Select Partition 1”.
Lastly type in “Format FS=FAT32”.
Note: You have to wait for at least 30min for the formatting process to be complete ( 1-100% ).
Remember to type the commands without the quotation marks( ” ” ).
