I just read http://jamesowenweatherall.com/SCPPRG/EllermanDavid2012Man_QuantumEraser2.pdf And I understand now the guy who complained about people interpreting quantum eraser experiments in the wrong ways. It's not just about pop-sci and quantum woo though, people commit the separation fallacy all the fucking time, even in literature and manuals, even in the original papers about quantum erasers. I'll never use the phrase "which-path" again. |

Yes. The retrocausal account, when done properly, is a perfectly valid interpretation. It certainly isn't true that any of these experiments prove retrocausality is what is actually taking place, but even if you don't think retrocausality is real, using it can help simplify problems. |
