Mother Teresa of Kolkata now St. Teresa is the latest saint of the catholic church following her recent canonization by Pope Francis II.

How can one living in contemporary times attain the status of a saint? According to the vatican, the journey to sainthood after a person’s demise includes the following steps;


1. Church officials examines a person’s good deeds for evidence of virtue.

2. A bishop submits the candidate’s case to the Vatican

3. The congregation for the causes of saints scrutinizes the candidate’s case.

4. Once the congregation approves the candidate’s case, it is forwarded to the pope.

5. The pope decides if the candidate has lived a virtuous life.

6. The individual is beatified when one miracle performed in their name is verified posthumously.

7. Canonization occurs when a second miracle is verified posthumously.

8. The candidate is declred a saint in a solemn mass.

He sees himself as a sinner ROM 3:23
Believe that he cannot save himself by any good deeds he will ever do ROM 3:20.
BelieveBelieve that Jesus died to pay for his sins ROM 3:25
Accept Jesus Christ in faith as his lord and personal saviour by confessing his sins and declaring Jesus his lord ROM 10:9-13
Walking with Jesus everyday,studying his words,doing them and following his Spirit's leading.
