Radical For Jesus?? by EVENTSPRO: 3:19pm On Sep 07, 2016
*Radical for Jesus.....*
One of my major concern about our youths is that whenever they hear the song "Radical for Jesus" the first thing that comes to their minds is carrying white seats up. I have seen where folks even carry the offering box and be running around just to show they are radical for Jesus!

To tell you the truth, it used to make my heart burn in discontent. All we have achieved in showing our radicalism is breaking white seats and destroying church properties.
.
Then after the song, during the time for God's word, you will
see the brothers and sisters that carried chair, sleep off.

During prayer, others will be standing up while radicals are
sitting and looking. That's if the prayer session is on a
Sunday because if it's a prayer meeting, the radicals don't even show up.

On evangelism day... Hahahahaha! Let's leave it at that.

A radical is an extremist. And the way my generational
youths shows their extremism for Christ is only during dance
session.
.
I'm bothered. I know the glory of the youths is their strength.
The Bible says so. It's time to use that glory for spiritual
purposes.
.
It's time, our youths hold their hands and pray for an hour or two nonstop. Yes that's a bit like radicalism.
.
It's time our youths stand up during word sessions because
they rather stand than sleep. Yes, that's more like radicalism.
.
It's time our youths go for evangelism or mission work,
preach God's word, cast out Devils and heal the sick... That's
radicalism.
.
If we must sing that song... *"oo oo oooo radical for Jesus",*
let's sing it to the streets, preaching, sharing tracts... It's a
street song not an in-house song.
.
Let's see how a radical talked in the Bible
.
"Then Paul answered, "Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in
Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."
.
But our own radicals...
Don't pray
Don't study
Don't preach
Don't fast
.
We only dance and break seats.
.
Indeed we are radicals— radical for "shoki, kukere, alanta".
.
But not for Jesus.
.
Until we pass the test of being 'normal Christians let's leave
this radical matter.
.
Youths Arise!
It's time to take our place.
Have a great day!
