The sacred land of Palestine considered the land of monotheistic Prophets, has been inhabited by Arabs for centuries according to Islamic teachings and traditions. Muslims firmly believe in those Prophets and their names have been repeatedly mentioned in the Holy Qur’an.

Bait-Ul-Moqaddas (Jerusalem) is one of the ancient cities of the world currently under the illegitimate rule of the Zionists Regime. From this city, the Holy Prophet of Islam’s ascension to heaven took place. Throughout the centuries, the history of this heavenly city intertwined with bloody conflicts and conquests by many powers among them crusaders, Turks, Muslims, Persians and the British.

Salahudin Ayyubi (Saladin) of the greatest Muslim commanders from a Kurdish family in Iraq, made historic victories in several wars to crust the crusaders and eventually liberated Jerusalem in 1192. His advantageous political, military and economic position was further enhanced by the popularity of the Jihad (holy struggle) against the crusaders, an idea in which he fervently believed.

Even today the name of this prominent Islamic warrior is associated with dignity and honor and will never be forgotten. He is not only appreciated in his bravery, in crushing those who occupied Islamic territories but also for the message of unity, he brought for Islamists.

According to historical documents Palestine’s native residents were mainly Arabs. In the 16th century, Palestine became a part of Turkey’s Ottoman Empire.

During World War I, as the colonists spread their supremacy and influence in Islamic territories, British forces occupied Palestine, apparently because Turkey allied with Germany. The British Foreign secretary, Arthus Balfour, declared his support for the establishment of Jewish state in Palestine. The famous Balfour Declaration was confirmed by governments at war with Turkey following British support, the state of Israel was established in 1948.

The six-day war of 1967 left Israel in possession of the whole of Jerusalem, the West Bank area of Jordan, the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip in Egypt, the Gaza Strip and the Golden Hight in Syria. East Jerusalem was almost immediately integrated into Israel, while other occupied territories were regarded as “Occupied Areas”

Unity of Muslims

Shortly after the Islamic Revolution in 1979, in a symbolic gesture, Iman Khomeini declared the Last Friday of Holy month of Ramadan as the global day of Qods. This announcement a turning point in the history of the Islamic Revolution had tremendous impact on the world of Islam, inviting massive members of Muslim to participate in an all-out struggle against the Zionist regime.

The goal behind the Imam’s call was to mobilize Muslims world over in all political, cultural and economic strata and to wage full-fledged war against world arrogance, particularly the United State and Israel.

The Imam firmly believed that while Muslims make up one-fourth of the world population and enjoy natural resources along with huge petrol-dollar wealth, why should Muslim governments not play a decisive role in liberating the occupied territories still under occupation by the Zionist Regime? Imam Khomeine always deeply regretted the tragedy of Palestine. His guidelines revived the culture of Resistance against the enemies of Islam in almost Muslims living in the remotest parts of the World.

The long standing policy of the Islamic Republic, spelled out by the Late leader of the Islamic Revolution, finds reality by total annihilation of the Zionist Regime with which Muslims should in no way compromise.

Every year on this glorious occasion, Muslims all over the world hold rallies to demonstrate their firm determination to liberate the first Qibla of Muslims and the third holiest site of Islam. The massive demonstration will ultimately draw widespread attention to the majesty of Islam from the oppressors of the world.

The ceremonies marking the global day of Qods in Muslim countries and else where in the world in recent years have had outstanding repercussions. The Muslim people demonstrate their anger and protest the current negotiation between the Israeli government and some Arab States.

The Palestinian revolutionary movement in the second half of the 20th century are an everlasting erupting volcano in spite of numerous conspiracies orchestrated by the United State and Israeli is deeply rooted in the religious belief of Muslims.


According to political observers, three major factors, Israeli crimes, betrayal of Arab State and anger of the people, have always been supplementary to one another in Middle East geo-politics.

On Qods days, Muslim nation display their solid demonstration to struggle against Israel, the symbol of aggression, massacre, state terrorism and numerous other criminal acts.

On Qods day, people not only shout slogans against Tel Aviv regime but also express their fury against the so called Muslim governments which by keeping silence, have paved the way for the occupation of Islam territories.

In previous years on Qods Days the Israeli regime repeatedly prohibited Muslim Palestinians from performing congregational prayers in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, while at the same time in some demonstration against Israelis.

In view of the statement of some Arab State, there seems to be no difference between them and the Zionist regime as they pursue the same strategy exercised by the Zionists. To put it in a nutsheel, they are the two side of the same coin.
