Na today dem start to learn to theif?
Na today dem begin to crown theif as cheif?
Chai! We don truly see things!
Chai! We don really hear things!
The other day dem say:
Country hard, money no dey
But every time, we dey hear Millz
Every time, we dey hear Billz
Every time, na another news
The other day dem say:
"Things go change" but we still dey wait
Na here we dey, we never see the change
Hunger dey, people dey die
Hunger dey, crime don dey so high
Imagine dem plan to chatter jeeps
When all men dey look for food to eat
The other day dem say:
Job go dey but we still dey wait
Na today dem start to lie?
Na today wahala rife?
Dem sabi conjure lie
Masters of propaganda
Dem whitewash things to turn black to white
Dem wan put cotton for our eyes
Dem dey try to hypnotise our mind
Make we no see things as dem don make am to be
But we all don pass dat side
Our psyche don start to high
We don dey accustomed to their lies
Dem dey try to take us for a ride
Bring the change before kasala go blow

Imagine dem come for our votes
Dem beg, dem say dey wan serve us
Dem beg, dem say dey go make us smile
Imagine, dem promise us Jericho
Dem say dey go bring us milk and honey
Dem say dey go bring us sweet and money
Dem sweet talk us till dey confuse our mind
Dem sweet talk us till dey make us blind
Imagine wen we give dem our votes
By then, dem come draw up the blinds
By then, dem come start to rip our minds
By then, servants come transform to masters
Imagine wen we give dem our votes
By then, dey come take us back to Egypt
By then, we come realize their deceit
By then, we come dey see their conceit
Imagine when we come give dem our votes
Rather than milk dem come dey feed us vinegar
Them say we dey sick so we need to heal
Rather than honey, dem release the bees on our bodies
Rather than money, dem begin to tell us stories
Chai! Money no dey, money no dey
Yet we dey hear recovered trillions
Imagine when tomatoes come cost pass apple
Imagine when mama exchange pikin for garri
Imagine when papa exchange pikin for money
Chai! Suffer dey, suffer dey
Na whom we go blame

Dem no like to hear the truth
When you tell dem all the truth
Dem go dey vex, while their mien go start to change
When you tell dem truth, dem go send the state apparatus after you
Dem go get a lie to cover the truth
Even now as I dey yarn, no surprise when dem pick me up
Their oga no like criticism
Him lieutenants, ever ready to please
Go swoop on you even before you blink an eye

Since dem land, na gidigbo among themselves
Since dem come, their house don begin to scatter
Chai! Which kind yawa we don enter
Chai! Who go save us from all these wahala.
