flamingREED: You have too much hate and bile in you. However, you may pick up your bible to read up Genesis Genesis 22 22 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. 2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.” 3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.” 6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” 8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. 9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. 12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” 13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram[a] caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. Genesis 22:2-13 Christians will not eat Sallah meat but will celebrate Christmas that has no link with their religion. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The problem I have with Christians is that they don't always agree with each other. Every christian thinks he is superior to others especially when it comes to spiritual matters. A person who attends a pentecostal church will always see a person who attends a cele or catholic church as an unbeliever. That is why the Muslims always seems to triumph over Christians bcux they are in Unity. Now to ur question OP, what do u think Jesus would av done if he was offered Sallah meat to eat? Even Jesus dined wit unbelievers/sinners. The short man Zaccheus is an example in d bible. 4 Likes 1 Share |

yak: Amen. I can also add: Acts 15 28 For it seemed good to the HOLY GHOST, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 THAT YE ABSTAIN FROM MEATS OFFERED TO IDOLS, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. Thanks. |

flamingREED: You are actually the one taking away from the scriptures. WHY DID YOU REMOVE VERSE 27 from your original post extracted from 1st corinthians 10 so as to deceive? You are taking away charity just like Paul declared in corinthians 1 Corinthians 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 1 Corinthians 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. . The entire Gospel is rooted in Love 1 Corinthians 13King James Version (KJV) 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Love is our driving force and even Jesus said Love your neighbour as yourself. We are meant to be at peace with the Jew, the gentile and even the church. So God instructs that we eat but in wisdom...wisdom here is for the sake of anothers conscience and this "another" is the young believer who still feels it is wrong so for their sake and not yours then refrain when you are in their company. Notice the phrase FOR THEIR SAKE AND NOT YOURS 1ST CORINTHIANS 10 VS 28- 29 28 But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof: 29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience? You on the other hand being a mature believer who eats by faith would not have your conscience defiled but the young believer would so anything that is not done in faith is a sin so let not your action lead him to sin but you are blameless when you do same in faith. 1ST CORINTHIANS 8 VS 3-13 4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. 8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. 9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. I really think you need to ask the holy spirit to expose the truth of the scriptures to you as you are not embracing the love in it but using it to build walls around yourself thereby seeing enemies everywhere. |

flamingREED: You are the one in error but are blinded by it. You preach a gospel of fear and not a gospel of Love. Stop misquoting scripture! You also need to ask those whose persons you have abused to forgive you! You extracted scriptures from 1st corinthians 10 and deliberately left out verse 27 so you can declare an erroneous gospel. The Gospel of Jesus is pure and true and all inclusive. Jesus did not build walls of segregation but encouraged selflessness and doing good. You spread hate and bitterness while Jesus preached PEACE AND LOVE. Stop preaching hate and Preach Jesus! Jesus is not Hate....Jesus is love! 1 Like |

Matthew 15:10-20 verse 10: then Jesus called to the crowd to come and hear. "Listen," he said, "and try to understand. Verse 11: it's not what goes into your mouth that defiles you: you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth." . . . . verse 17: "Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer. Verse 18: But the words you speak comes from the heart- that's what defiles you. |

People were called Christian in new testament not in the old testament! We are Christ like so read 1 corinthians chap 8 then you will understand more even Jesus ate with sinners and tax collectors stop talking like those priest that condemn Jesus for eating with the sinners |
