Complaints and apprehension reign as news of suspension of its operations by Arik Air gains ground following its inability to fly passengers across Nigeria since the early hours of today (Tuesday, September 13, 2016).

Said to owe marketers over N3 billion for aviation fuel, with its insurance coverage withdrawn by insurers across the world,  many are scared about the fate of the airline, as well as the future of aviation as three airlines have suspended services in three weeks.

Also from a first hand in the know, the suspension is not just its Nigerian flights. The New DG of NCAA has really been making things exemptionally difficult for airlines also. The few operating airlines are not making profits, if something is not done fast we may not have any airline running by the end of the year. I have been personally affected by this shutdown, loads of pilots and engineers have been put out of job.

Little by little a great nation is dissolving.
