As at today, according to Science, Earth is spinning about its axis anticlockwisely at the speed of 1675km/hr and it is revolving anticlockwisely again round the Sun at the speed of 107,000km/hr. This is what the empirical evidence says.

However, Albert Einstein introduced "Theory of Relativity" into Physics and that brought about the idea of perspective or reference of frame to Physics and this solved so many problems in Physics. For instance, if somebody under a moving ceiling fan sees the direction of the fan as anticlockwise, another person at the top/over the ceiling fan would see the direction of the fan as clockwise.

Also, if you're in a moving vehicle and you look through the window, you see the grasses around moving in opposite direction. The more the speed of the vehicle, the more the movement of the grasses. In reality, are the grasses moving? Of course, NO!

This is where the problem lies. I won't be surprised tomorrow if scientists tell us that it is the Sun that is spinning and not the Earth and other planets that are revolving round the Sun. That is for Revolution of the Earth. But for the Rotation of the Earth, that still stands unshakably from scientific point of view.

Here, with all due respect, the Shaykh goofed here. If Earth is spinning at 1675km/hr as given by Science, then, everything within and around the Earth would spin with the same speed. So, to plants and animals inhabiting the Earth, there is no apparent movement because we are moving with the Earth at the same speed. So, if a flying aeroplane becomes stationary in the atmosphere, there wouldn't still be any apparent movement of the Earth.

From scientific point of view, it is very much possible, whether the Earth is spinning or stationary. If both the Earth and the celestial house have synchronized movements, and one is directly above the other one, then it is possible. Also, if they are both stationary and one is directly above the other one, then, it is possible again. Spiritually, it is possible whether both are synchronized or not. The statements of the Prophet(SAW) are true.

Among the empirical evidence that establish the heliocentricity is "Aberration of Starlight" and "Stellar Parallax Proof". Although, they could still turn out later to be relative in line with Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

I guess you got this your submission from Conspiracy Theory. Reason why the cannon balls would still cover the same distance is this:

All matters on and around the Earth are attracted to the centre of the Earth due to its gravitational force.

Atmosphere is also matter and it is pulled towards Earth's centre. Due to this force of gravity, atmosphere travels along with the Earth when the Earth rotates. So, the cannon balls, the atmosphere and everything around spin with the same speed with the Earth. As such, the spinning of the Earth has no effect on the directions/speed of throw or launch of the cannon balls. Consequently, the cannon balls would cover the same distance.

Let us look at what Allah Almighty said in the Noble Quran:
"Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they pass like the passing of the clouds: (such is) the artistry of God, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do. (The Noble Quran, 27:88) "

When you look at the mountains, you think that they are standing still. But they are moving, like the clouds. Such is the manufacture of GOD, who perfected everything. He is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Allah Almighty did say that all of the objects in the Universes are swimming in space:

"It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its orbit with its own motion.

Allah Almighty telling us that the mountains are moving? By the way, the "mountains" here is not just limited to mountains, but rather it includes the whole ground we're standing on, since, to us humans, the earth doesn't move, except during the times of earth quakes. And the mountains are obviously connected with the ground.

By the way, clouds never really move away. They only rotate around the earth and travel above the earth; above land to land. So if the mountains (the whole ground of earth since the mountains are part of earth) are "moving, like the clouds" , then this means that the earth is also moving in circle around its axle.

So, why didn't Allah Almighty just say so? Allah Almighty 1500 years ago did not want to make irrational and CRAZY statements that would've been refused and considered as absurd and utter nonsense to the people who lacked a great deal of knowledge about astronomy and geology. The Miracle of the Noble Quran is that while Allah Almighty made the statement in Noble Verse 27:88 acceptable to the people back then, He also included the scientific claim in it for us today, and told us that the earth does indeed move around its axle.
