80k Ogini? While it's true costs depends on what part you are changing 80 is a lot unless you got a bad compressor, evaporator and expansion valve I believe, which is hard to believe will befall a single car. I have fallen victim of ac mechs who are thieves. When my car overheated my ac stopped working. A useless Kareem (useless in retrospect) told me he was gonna change filter and the compressor coil and fill Gas for 10k ish. After two weeks, it leaked out. Next he said the another component of the compressor was bad, a disc like metal. He changed it and it blew. To cut the story short, I was filling gas every month until I went back to another Kareem who had, in retrospect correctly diagnosed the problem originally but I doubted him and even charged far less and since then the car is back to normal. The new guy said the old guy didn't do jack never mind go to ladipo to change coil. Just living off me. Leeches. 80k is a rip off
