DX12 (in most titles) doesn't have a significant performance boost on Nvidia GPU's plus game overlays (MSI Afterburner) showing system vitals don't work with DX12 enabled...until then I'm good with DX11, abi no be game pesin wan play?

I have always wanted to comment on your thread bro. Seeing your pc builds are really bringing back memories or realisation of my dream to build a Gaming PC but i won't build it because it's not a priority now. Nice job. Maybe we can transact some business in future.

i intend to build a like gaming pc before resuming school mid october

My intended specs are similar to yours

intel core i7 6700k - CPU
gigabyte gtx 1070 - GPU
Gigabyte LGA1151 - Mobo


And i'm likely to throw in a 600W PSU, 32GB DDR4 ram, 256GB SSD, A reliable CPU cooler and 2-4 TB HHD


my main contender here is the case. Seems likely that i may order a micro atx case from amazon and ship through these NL guys.


Also where did you get your monitor from ?

I have a 120 inch 1080p 3D projector and i intend gaming on it at ultra presets, no less than 60FPS

Nice...what power supply model are you looking to get?

The 1070 will chew anything at 1080p it's more of a 1440p card.

If you intend to stay on 1080p get an i5 + a GTX 1060(6GB) or RX480(8GB), cost far less money and it'll give 60Fps ultra setting.

Awesome rig! I have a non-k 6700 and a single 1080 and I'm rocking a phillips 28" 4K monitor. I got all my stuff in South Africa and had relatives ship it over, but that's really expensive and I want to get another 1080. Only problem is I don't know where I can get the gpu off of that ships to Nigeria. Do you know where I could go?

TDP for 1070 is 150W so 450W is plenty

There are some people who offer a service to buy from some overseas online shop. You could try them.
I know a reliable courier. The PC I built for a Nairalander and sent to Nigeria is with the new owner today. Took 7 working days.

I had the Asus 28 4K but I prefer the 34" ultrawide screen

Ok I always thought High-end Gpus consume much more power
but i have another question why won't the mini ITX build allow SLi ?
is it because of shortage of pcie connections on the mobo or inadequate space for the gpu cards

Both. It'll force me to always get one GPU. If I need to put in a more powerful card I'll get a 600W small form factor PSU.

A 750W PSU can easily get the job done, however I do not intend going SLI as most games do not support it and in cases where it's supported, it's hardly optimized.

I go by the rule of trying to solve my graphics whoring with one single card.

Yea most games don't support or if supported its poorly optimized..
Just like multi-core CPUs..

DX11 has poor optimisation for multi core utilisation. DX12 & Vulkan scale very well with multicore CPU. The sweet spot is 8-core or a 4C,8T CPU.
