Only issue I'm facing now is that I'm going with an nzxt mini ATX case and I don't know what compatible CPU cooler and SF psu will fit in.

What the model of the case? Which GTX 1070 is that?

One thing I'd suggest is go for liquid cooler in mini itx case if the gpu is air cooled. Less heat contaminating. The CPU will run cooler when gpu is working hard, spitting heat into the case.

colorful GTX 1070 ( would have preferred the Gigabyte version but my bro mistakenly chose the colorful version which shipped before it could be cancelled )

i guess difference may not be so much unless a 2-3% drop in overclocking abilities

I'm going with the Silverstone RVZ02 Mini ITX case, NZXT kraken x61 CPU liquid cooler and a corsair SF 450Watts PSU and 16gb ddr4 ram

let me know what you think before i make the purchase

Oh nice...I've always wanted to build in that case. the case doesn't have support for a CPU liquid cooler. You'd need to go for something like the Noctua NH-L9i or Silverstone AR06 CPU heat sink n fan.

The other components will be compatible.

Couldn't compromise overclocking convenience for size especially after paying premium price for the Intel k processor.

This guy, you just read my mind..I was at the EGX today and I saw a build with the NZXT mantra...I was going to send you a photo of it as a suggestion..that case is BADASS! excellent liquid cooling options.

The Kraken will keep that badboy CPU under control overclocked...I've hit 4.8GHz on mine....stayed well within 70C under 100% load.
That hyper X fury RAM overclocks very well too...

And i'm likely to throw in a 600W PSU, 32GB DDR4 ram, 256GB SSD, A reliable CPU cooler and 2-4 TB HHD


my main contender here is the case. Seems likely that i may order a micro atx case from amazon and ship through these NL guys.


Also where did you get your monitor from ?

I have a 120 inch 1080p 3D projector and i intend gaming on it at ultra presets, no less than 60FPS

but i have another question why won't the mini ITX build allow SLi ?
is it because of shortage of pcie connections on the mobo or inadequate space for the gpu cards

It's not really that the Pascal graphics cards are more power efficient than Maxwell or Kepler generation. its a thing with technology as it grows, something called Moore's law where each generation the number of transistors that fit on a cpu die increases

Mini-itx motherboard only have one PCIe x16 slot it isn't a case on 'might not', it won't support 2 gpus.

That's a killer build...will easily hit 120-144hz with the 1070 at 1080p on most titles

Steep learning curve going from pad to KB&M but na practise. I did a video comparing wired controller to PS4 USB wireless adapter and Bluetooth 4.0 and I was getting an input delay of 1.25ms on the Bluetooth. It'd be good to know how that compares to KB&M.

Battlefield 1 pre-ordered. Can't wait.

I used the fix on oceanogames, it doesn't need to load steam.

Thanks fam. Suits games similar too, action - adventure type. Not ideal for competitive first person shooters though, too wide hurts ones neck

Another thing bro,theirs this weird glitch on the characters facial expression i experience at cutscenes I don't know if ure experiencing the same bug in the game like I'm,their mouth seems to be super glued like horror movie,mehn weird stuff I tell u.
