Nigeria striker Kelechi Osunwa has emerged as the all-time top scorer in Sudan after he netted 33 goals even with six rounds of matches to be played this season.

The former Dolphins of Port Harcourt has been scoring for fun for Al Ahly Shendi after spells at Sudan’s giant clubs club Al Merreikh and Al Hilal.

His 33 goals have included four hat-tricks and five braces. He has also won five Man-of-the-Match awards.

Last year, the 31-year-old Osunwa joined Al Ahly Shendi on a three-year contract.

He has won major trophies with both Al Merreikh and Al Hilal.

His goals inspired Al Hilal to the semi-finals of the 2007 CAF Champions.

He has also played in Thailand and Egypt.

Colins Kelechi Osunwa is a Nigerian-born football striker. he was born on October 15, 1984 in Rivers State, Nigeria.

Career:

Osunwa has played professional football since 2001. He played for Dolphins in Nigeria before moving to Sudan to join Al-Hilal. The former Nigeria youth international helped Al-Hilal reach the semi-final of the 2007 CAF Champions League.

In 2009 Kelechi signed a three-year deal with Al-Merreikh, where he would win the Sudan Premier League in 2011 and 2013.

Osunwa formed an all-Nigerian strike force with former Enyimba striker Stephen Worgu, who also joined Al-Merreikh in January 2009.

Osunwa signed a two-year contract with Thai Premier League side BEC Tero Sasana in January 2014. After six months in Thailand, Osunwa signed a two-year deal with Ismaily of the Egyptian Premier League.

kelechi signed 3 years wit alahly shendi in soudan in the last of 2014 he is the highest alltime topscorer of Sudan premier league with 137 goals 54 with alhilal 62 with almerikh and 21 with alahly shendy before faissal alagab (121) with almerikh 111 merikh alfasher 8 alnil shendi 2.

keleshi scored 104 goals in 167 games with almerikh .he is the time top scorer in 2012 with 40goals in 51 games (inc friendly) 2013 with 26 in 41 (inc friendly) 2009 with 32 inc frienly .

he assisted 8 with almerikh in 2013 3 in league 1 in cup 4 friendly.

he has 29 goals in African club competitions 10 with dolfins 9 almerikh 8 with alhilal and 2 with alahly shendi. he is the top scorer of 2002 africa cup under 17 and the top scorer of nigerian league second division in 2004.

International career:

Osunwa was member of the Nigeria's under-23 national team. He played for the senior Nigeria national football team at the 2004 LG Cup in Tripoli, Libya. He was named to the preliminary Sudan squad for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.

During a chat with footyalert, the Sudanese goal king said “I miss my former club, Dolphins of Port harcourt but i do find time to train with the Pride of Rivers whenever I’m in Nigeria”

The Nigerian international who has featured in the Nigeria Under- 20 &23 teams (Flying Eagles and Dream Team) played for Dolphins FC before leaving for Sudanese club Al-Hilal and later switched to Al-Merreikh where he currently plays. His goals have helped him lift the Sudanese league thrice and the Sudan Cup once and also won the league top scorer award in a record four times.

While in Nigeria, Osunwa gained promotion with Dolphins FC in 2002 to the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) , he was also the higest goal scorer with 12 goals. He was part of that historic Dolphins team In 2004/2005 season when "The Pride of Rivers" won the league, FA Cup and played in the finals of the CAF Confederations Cup all in the same year.
