Prayers from a church in Kisumu, Kenya were presumed not to have reached heaven after a pastor’s brand new car burst into flames days after the congregation gathered to pray for the car.

Pastor Peter Ochuka of Voice of Salvation and Healing Church had a prayer session for his new car soon after it was bought, thanking God for the gift and asking for blessings and protection.

But the atmosphere quickly changed after the pastor gave out the brand new machine to a teenager to go and wash. However, the boy, called Odhiambo, wanted to boast a bit with the vehicle.

He took a leisure drive along Obote Road where he hit two stationary vehicles.

Odhiambo then tried fleeing but ended up driving into a ditch where the car burst into flames. He fled on foot and the police are looking for him.
