Why Unijos VC Prof. Maimako's Daughter Should Not Be A Lecturer In Unijos. by Jtownonline: 9:24am On Sep 27, 2016 |
Unijos VC Prof. Maimoko has given his daughter a job as a lecturer in the department of Mass Communication in the University against all odds. Jtownonline media was able to make contact with one of her course mate who wants to remain anonymous said "The news got to me as a shock; if the University should do the right thing regarding students that will be retained, Miss Dougvel Maimako can't fall in the first 15 students that will be retained. I am not saying she is not smart but she is just an average student and does not deserved to be retained. I guess she got the job because her Dad is the VC of the University". Jtownonline media was able to have a chat with a student in 200 level who complained bitterly about her method of lecturing which in most cases students get more confuse at the end of each class. "I think she should only be taking 100 level students that is if she really wants to be a lecturer" he said. I don't see anything wrong in her appointment IF she is fully qualified both academically and morally. |

Jtownonline: I would only have a problem with the appointment if she is not qualified. Also, even in the US and Worldwide preferential treatment is given to staffs' children, as far there are qualified. You think Obama' daughter was selected in those many universities because she was the best? |

if she is qualified, biko why not it would have been wise to tell us that she got the appointment witout proper qualifications and it would have made sense abit but saying it is because of the dad holds no water. In funaab, a mother (professor) and son are lecturers in same dept sef. (animal breeding and genetics) and are both very good. The vc of funnab also has his son lecturing also and he is good too, so qualification is all that matters and if she is qualified enough, then no probs. Referalls are even how most recruitments happen this day esp as many are called but few are thieves She prolly shuld just revise her teaching methods so she can reach out to her students more. |
