The victims of fibroids may find it difficult to conceive due to the pressure and pain on the surrounding organs where it grows. People mistaken swelling that arises as a result of fibroids for pregnancy in most cases. Symptoms
Since fibriod affects women, the first thing a victim experiences is excessive menstrual bleeding. This symptom is peculiar with the victims of intramural and subnucosal fibroids. This experience also causes extension of menstrual period to as long as 8 days or more. Untreated excessive menstrual bleeding or abnormal uterine bleeding leads to loss of high amount of blood and result to need for blood transfusions.
When fibroid begins to grow, it seriously affects the organs around where it grows especially, the lower abdominal, causing it pain and swelling that people mistaken for pregnancy. Pelvic becomes painful based on the size of the fibroid. The first approach to this experience of pelvic pain and pressure is to immediately enrol for gynecological exam so as to determine the cause.
The first organ being affected by the growth of fibriod tumors happens to be bladder, the pressure on the bladder sometimes leads to loss of bladder control and frequent urination. This experience causes pain and discomfort which may also affect the victim's everyday activities.
Uncomfortable constipation occurs when the growth of uterine fibroid tumor brings pressure on bowel. Other symptoms include pain in the back of the legs, an enlarged abdomen, constipation, pain during sexual intercourse and anemia. Though in some cases, victim may not experience any of the symptoms at all and this may be as a result of the size of the fibroid tumors and its location.
